giving back

Berkshire Dream Home Giveback Gala Strong Little Souls.png

We are proud to reflect on 10 years in the industry with the celebration we hosted May 25, 2024.  The Give Back Gala commemorated our 10-year milestone with the highly successful fundraising effort benefiting Strong Little Souls.   We raised more than $100,000 for this local non-profit organization that focuses all of its efforts on supporting families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
Thank you to all who supported our efforts.

charitable giving

A foundational principle at Berkshire Dream Home is giving back to the community we serve. We feel grateful for our blessings and believe our responsibility is to lend a helping hand and help others. Sometimes our helping hand comes in the form of a financial donation. Sometimes it comes in the form of volunteering at an event. Whether we are giving back our time or our money – we believe that helping others is what we are here to do. Two organizations hold an exceptional place in our hearts: Dominican Starfish Foundation and Strong Little Souls. Both organizations embody the spirit of Margaret Mead's famous words, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

Dominican Starfish

The Perenick Family traveled to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic for many years. Throughout their visits to their favorite resort, they encountered a fellow vacationer turned philanthropist, Louise Zobel, the founder of the Dominican Starfish Foundation. Louise's story of giving back started as a simple conversation with resort staff. That conversation led her to explore areas directly outside the resort and witness the overwhelming poverty juxtaposed with the incredible luxury of the resort. Louise decided to do what she could to help shelter the people living in an impoverished village outside of the resort. Fast forward ten years, she's created her foundation, which has built 100s of homes and helped countless people in the Javier village of the Dominican Republic. Sarah and Andy have supported the Dominican Starfish Foundation for years – contributing to building new homes for families living in extreme poverty. When they visit the Dominican Republic, they give out food packs in the community. Please let us know if you are interested in more information or want to help the Dominican Starfish Foundation!

Our very own Jessica Rizzo's daughter, Madison Quinn, is the founder of this charitable organization designed to support children and families facing the devastating childhood cancer diagnosis. Madison's journey began at the young age of 13 years when she learned the story of a child facing a cancer diagnosis. Since her initial charitable donation of a gift package, she has used her energy and talent to raise funds to support children and families facing the incredibly devastating cancer diagnosis. Madison works tirelessly fundraising and gives 100% of what she raises to the community she supports. Madison is currently a senior at Elms College enrolled in the nursing program, hoping to pursue a nursing career in pediatric oncology. She manages to keep up with the rigorous demands of school and still raises $60,000/year on her own. Madison's efforts are a powerful reminder of how just one person's focus and determination can effect significant change. We are proud of Madison and our affiliation with her organization. Don't hesitate to contact us if you want more information about Strong Little Souls.
